Agenda Highlights
08:45 - Open Doors & Check-in
09:00 - Welcome Speech by meshcloud's CRO, Christina Kraus
09:05 - Keynotes
Provisioning K8s Clusters On-prem and in the Cloud
This talk focuses on the practical implementation of provisioning Kubernetes (K8s) clusters both on-premises and in the cloud using meshstack. We will explore how we have used building blocks in meshstack to enable users to efficiently create and manage their own K8s clusters in self-service. Attendees will learn about the technical setup, configuration, and deployment processes that make this possible, as well as the challenges and solutions encountered during implementation.
In this talk, Kerstin Breuer draws parallels between legendary expeditions and today’s FinOps challenges. She’ll share how to prepare your crew and bring employees along on the FinOps journey, reveal how her team built a DIY solution that led to real success, and show how to confidently navigate the cloud cost landscape using smart dashboards. Expect practical insights, inspiring takeaways—and a fresh perspective on FinOps.
10:05 - Coffee Break
10:30 - Sovereignty Keynotes (German)

Benjamin Wurster & Max Irmscher,
Bundesagentur für Arbeit
Bundesagentur für Arbeit (BA) is setting new standards in the digitalization of public services with a multi-cloud strategy focused on digital sovereignty. In their keynote, they will share how their multi-cloud journey is helping them work more efficiently and put customers at the center — all while embracing the opportunities of hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Jörg Gottschlich,
meshcloud
For true sovereignty we need to act self-determined. There’s plenty of talk about sovereignty and waiting for external solutions – but companies must take ownership and protect their freedom to operate. How? By building pro-active platform diversity, shaping the right organizational setup, and actively managing risks. In this talk, Jörg will explore how to put these steps into practice with focus and intent.
10:30 - Side Track - Keynotes (English)

Michele Dodic,
Accenture
Building Self-Healing Platforms with AI-Driven Observability
Michele Dodic, a Solution Architect at Accenture, has guided large enterprises in bringing Observability and AIOps into some of the most complex hybrid environments. In his keynote, he’ll share how platform teams can move from reactive monitoring to zero-touch AIOps—using telemetry, AI-driven anomaly detection, and automated remediation to reduce manual work. With real-world examples and a live demo, Michele will highlight best practices, common mistakes, and how AI-powered observability makes systems more resilient and self-operating.
11:30 - Platform Stories (German)

Steffen Kohlhagen & Stefan Walker,
Berenberg Bank
Platform Stories, Episode 9 — Live Podcast Recording (DE)
In this special live recording of Platform Stories, Stefan Walker and Steffen Kohlhagen from Berenberg Bank will talk about their Platform Engineering experiences, the role of AI in Platform Engineering and Digital Sovereignty. Stefan is Head of the Architecture, Quality, and Cloud Transformation Department, with over two decades of experience in banking infrastructure. Steffen Kohlhagen is Head of Cloud Adoption and currently serves as Cloud Officer at the private bank Berenberg. He brings extensive experience across IT disciplines, including software development, product development, and IT security.
12:30 - Lunch Break
13:45 - Breakout Sessions

Martin Meiringer,
KION Information Management
KION Information Management
Martin will share how KION GROUP planned and executed a large-scale migration of over 4,000 virtual machines to Microsoft’s Premium SSD v2 to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The session covers the business case, automation approach, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards used to navigate technical and organizational challenges. It’s a practical look at managing complex cloud changes in a large enterprise environment.

Benjamin Schmidt,
IONOS
Building an AI Chatbot from Scratch Using German Open-Source Language Models
In this breakout session, Benjamin Schmidt, Cloud Solution Architect at IONOS with over 15 years of cloud experience, will demonstrate how to build an enterprise-ready AI chatbot from scratch using German open-source language models. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, and AI function calling, and see how these techniques enable chatbots to integrate proprietary company data for more accurate, context-aware responses.

Mehrshad Lotfi Foroushani
Observability platform with Grafana
Join Mehrshad, Grafana Champion and CNCF Kubestronaut, for a deep dive into observability as a key pillar of modern infrastructure. This session will explore the role of OpenTelemetry in standardizing telemetry data, demonstrate how the Grafana LGTM Stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, and Mimir) comes together to power observability, and walk through setting it up with Grafana Operator and Helm charts using GitOps principles.

Jelle den Burger,
meshcloud
Live Demo Booth – meshStack in Action
All day long, alongside the main program, we’ll be running live demos to show you exactly how meshStack works. You’ll get a chance to explore the key features that support your specific use cases, and see how meshStack can help you build sovereign platforms or create K8s-based developer platforms with meshKube.
